Indoor weekend meetings around the South West-ish?

Does anyone know of any indoor meetings in 2009 (weekend, not weekday club) around the 'South-West' region?

By which I mean anywhere within 50 miles of Gloucester?

There seems to be so many good series up North yet not much down here? Or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Cobra have good meetings, or is that too far?

COBRA got a meeting this weekend, buggy championship, with a side helping of touring cars, so there will be jumps and bumps.

No, cant see COBRA being too far really. Will have to be starting from next year cos of me back, but I really wanna get more racing under my belt with the 10th :)

Look at the Dudley meetings

not too far from Gloucester.

usually a decent track layout with around a 14 second lap on a decent surface too.

Dudley tracks are always good Chris, I would recommend

Yeah Dudley is okay...just wish the f***ing footballers would shut that door, cos it gets bloody cold sometimes...

Never enough jumps tho, cos they have Mardaves and Tourers running round as well

yeah it is damn cold. I dont mind it being a bit flat. Very quick as a result. Sharpens up those reactions

It's never "flat" just racing is all about car control in the corners, you can't build tracks with loads of jumps that flow in a confined indoor venue (about 2/3rds the track area of Newbury for comparison).

Mr Belsten has a very good point ..... if you want to quicken your reactions a high speed, high grip track will do that better than anything .... ever seen a guy who's quick at 1/12th struggle in any class for example????

c0sie 03-11-2008 09:30 PM

Ive done 1/12th Mod, done 1/10th TC Mod (I hang my head in shame), and ive raced my S2 , B4 and B44 on flat(ish) high grip carpet tracks and just dont get any enjoyment from it.

Jumps..thats where its at.

Whos with me? w00t! w00t! lol
