Splattered paint effect?

What's the best way to achieve the splattered paint effect? ive wanted to try it for a while but to scared to ruin a body if i got it wrong?

Maybe better ways to do it but I simply sprayed the black paint into the can lid, dipped finger then flicked!

I do almost the same, spray paint in lid dip!
Do a couple of trial flicks before so you get the required pattern before you do it on the shell...

I just dip a small brush into the paint pot and smash it,if you want the splatter effect you can't really ruin the shell,but you can get carried away:woot:

Finger dipping flicking method on my DEX210 backed up with black. Had a go after reading this thread yesterday.
