Classic and worlds RC10 re-release

I bought a classic kit as soon as they came out with the intention of one day racing it. Now I'm not too sure if I was a bit too hasty, as having seen the worlds kit maybe I should have bought that instead.

Lets say I were to stay with the six gear box (is fitting a stealth even an option, does it fit the classic chassis?), what else is actually different and worth getting from the worlds car if I were to upgrade my classic?

What are the differences between the two chassis's? I know the world is milled, is this purely a weight saving effort, or is it for another purpose? I can see the advantage in the old days of NIMH cells, but with Lipo's surely it's pretty pointless?

I'm basically trying to decide if I should upgrade my Classic, or stick it on the shelf to look pretty and get a worlds instead.

The milling in the chassis is pure weight saving. The chassis is drilled for the Stealth box I believe, so will bolt straight on the chassis, if not drilled, it only requires drilling. The gearbox brace holes are slightly different, so you will need a new brace, seen some nice Carbon fibre one's about.

The greatest difference between the two is the transmission. Instead of upgrading, just buy the Worlds car and have both! If you add up the parts you may as well buy a kit!

Differences are

Steering bellcranks
Front shock tower
Front wishbones, caster blocks, steering arms and axles
Transmission and transmission brace
Rear shock tower
Rear uprights, axles and driveshafts
Shocks
Wheels and tyres

To update a Classic for racing I would suggest a Stealth transmission, ballraced steering bellcranks and longer front wishbones will make the biggest performance differences. But the stealth transmission kit is half the price of a Worlds buggy on its own.

Thanks all for the replies. I think getting the worlds car is the sensible option.
