K1 to KF - Possible?
 

Hi All,

This is probably a stupid idea!

Is it possible to turn a K1 into a Kf seeing as they share parts?

Then you could have a 4wd but the option of going 2wd when needed.

I don't want to buy another buggy, I just want the option as and when needed.

Thoughts please.

Just run the K1 in 2wd.
I used to do this, it goes really well.
Before the KF came out alot of people were choosing to do this with good results.
I remember a 2wd regional at Stotfold where most of the A final were converted 4wd cars, K1s and X rays.
All you need is some front stub axles, and remove the front driveshafts.
Some left the front diff and belt in place, others removed it all.
