is the new x6 gearbox better?

How would you describe the improvements caused be the 4 gear box?

Much obliged!

It helps to balance the car more both in the air (when jumping) and when putting the power down, this is due to the changed direction of the rotor/armature within your motor. The rotational foirce now helps with handling rather than hinder.

In 99% of cases the 4 gear will be much faster around the track for most racers.

The biggest thing you'll notice is how well the car gets the power down with the 4 gear box, the car doesn't squirm on the low grip sections. I always found with the 3 gear that the car could almost tie itself in knots when it broke traction.

Weirdly the 4 gear car also seems to have more steering, I can't explain why, but everyone seems to think the same.

It'll be be the best £30 you ever spend on your X-6

As Craig has implied, the looser (or slipperier) the surface the more difference the 4-Gear makes. On Astro, not much difference, and some guys even prefer the 3-gear. On blown out U.S. gas tracks that have not been watered, the 4-Gear is incredible.

I can't dissagree that the difference is even more noticable the more slippery it gets however it's really noticable on an astro track becasue the balance is just better on the ground and in the air.

The kick of the motor that helps with initial traction also helps coming off the power and gets the front into the corner more which gives the impression of more steering that Craig mentions.

What's not mentioned is that the internal tolerences are much better, it's sealed so components last longer, it fits perfectly with the rear bulkhead and carbon tower.

It's just better all round!

i used to find the 3 gear had more steering as when i got the 4 gear steering was reduced  but overall the 4 gear is superb compared to the 3 would never go back! just handles so well on slippy and puts incredible amounts of power down

Like Dan said: next to the handeling difference, the fact that the bottom is closed is also a very big plus
