Which should I buy?

I'm going to buy a new Esc and it's a toss up between a Speed Passion reventon pro or a Dualsky XC870TF. There not too far off price wise so which should I buy?

Will's 07-08-2014 10:48 AM

I have been using the Speed Passion Reventon Pro and seems easy to use and program and never let me down yet. Have you looked at the Hobby Wing as they seem quite popular too.

Peakey 07-08-2014 11:03 AM

I have but for some reason they don't jump out at me

mark christopher 07-08-2014 11:36 AM

Dualskys as very good been using them for 3 years with no faults in several cars. As some power, also recommend the programme box

Peakey 07-08-2014 12:15 PM

I was also considering a team orion R10 pro as I've got an R8 in my truggy and I've had no problems with that. And my lhs have offers me a deal on the new R10.1 :( hmm decisions decisions

Vampire SR1+ are a bargain at £99 currently

clicky

Peakey 07-08-2014 01:38 PM

You can't do this to me! I'm gonna narrow it to either a dualsky, team orion or a lrp flow. As my lhs have offered me a good deal on both the orion and lrp he's pricing the dualsky for me now.

Don't know what you're lhs was quoting on the LRP Flow but I recently bought one from MB Models and I think that they were about £125.

Orca VXX is great, I'm saving my pennies so I can put one in my 2wd.

Peakey 07-08-2014 06:14 PM

At the min I can get a lrp flow with 2 pairs of saddles for £220 but if I go in with cash I'm sure I can get some more off  how is the lrp performing lee?

Stu Dixon 07-08-2014 06:17 PM

r10 pro
They are idiot proof and that's why I have two !! one in my Lazer and one in my RB6

Very easy to use and adjust with the setting box, I changed from Dualsky to the R10 and haven't looked back !!

Loads of power and smooth with it.

Good luck in choosing !!!!

If I get the new R10.1 I'll need the new program box and all in with 2 pairs of saddles it's gonna cost me £320

The original program box works on the R10.1 just fine ;-)

I took advantage of the release of the R10.1 and purchased a brand new R10 pro at a good discount as the model shops want to shift old stock.

The hobby wing and speed passion stuff is the same just with a different sticker.

sosidge 07-08-2014 09:27 PM

Not any more. Speed Passion Reventon is from a different manufacturer.

Peakey 07-08-2014 09:53 PM

I've been informed that the revention has "reliability issues" so that's out the window I think I'm gonna go for the lrp

Peakey 20-08-2014 04:58 PM

So I made my mind up and got time to go and collect my new Esc today.

And if I get time amongst all the house packing I'll get it soldered up and fitted over the weekend

Great choice. You'll love it.
