Electrics for a New Starter

Hi guys,

Just bought a Schumacher Cougar SV2 and now need to fill it. So I was hoping for some pointers and suggestions of electrics and motors to put in. I would like some decent stuff but not too decent that it means ££££'s. Also, if anyone is clearing any out then I'm all ears :)

Cheers

Motors stick to a 13.5 or a 10.5 motor as your new

Speed controllers i don't have much advice, just that buy cheep buy twice

Lipos gens ace on giant shark are by far the best i know of for price wise you can get 2 sets for price of others. There is no need to by massive lipos with super discharge rates, under the stickers they are all the same.

Radio get something with a few tuning settings dont need to spend too much spectrum do some good handsets

Servos look for a digital one with metal gears and you'll be set

Seems pretty good advice.
Re: radios, there are lots to choose from - I have a mid range absima which was approx £50 and it has loads of variable settings and cheap extra receivers. Hasn't missed a beat yet.
That said, I put a cheap absima in my sons buggy as well as a £17 flysky one from eBay in a brasher I have for if sons friends want a go in the park and they too have both been fine - just with less adjustment variation
Savox servos seem the preferred option, with 1258 the most common I see, but again, my sons buggy has a 15£ absima servo which has been fine
