Proline wedge any good?

Hi has any one tried proline wedge front tyres on astro or grass. I sometimes find the Schumacher cut staggers (Yellow) a bit snatchy and I read that a lot of top drivers are using these proline wedge front tyres for high grip astro. Has any one tried them?

To me they felt great on astro, gives u a lot more confidence cornering on high grip

Thanks will try a pair. Are they like Schumacher cut spikes as in use narrow wheels no insert? Thanks

i used them a normal sized wheel with an insert in bud, tried them on a slim wheel with no insert but found it gave me too much steering but i think i had worn tyres on the rear though so that didnt help

I really like them on astro and have supplied some A final national guys too so they can't be bad!

I used the proline wedge on Sunday at swis, It was a mixture of carpet, astro and polished floor. I found them nice and controlled without being snatchey like the cut staggers. Plenty of grip on the astro and carpet and just enough slip on the polished floor to prevent oversteer and spinning out.

How did you use them Grovenik - wide or narrow fronts; inserts or not?

grovenik 19-11-2014 11:27 AM

Hi pitman ed, I used them narrow with no insert.

That's exactly how I'm gonna try it.

I used them on the Astro at Southport, as I found cut staggers a bit harsh.

Slim wheel no insert.
