amb transponder, which one?

guys and girls,
im looking to purchase an amb personal transponder, i understand the amb dp is now discontinued, i just wondered which one is its replacement, as ive heard there are some latest models which wont work with certain software, is there a new model available which has the same compatibility as the previous amb dp?

thanks in advance

amb are good but id go for a MRT one

the new ones are compatable on all systems up to RC4 and slightly cheaper too

To work on all current systems, it has to be the Amb RC4 Hybrid ( Harry ) or, a bit cheaper, and just as good, the latest Mrt......

No to work on all systems from rc2 decoder to rc4 it has to be any one of the red AMB ones but NOT the Percy (RC4) which has 3 wires

or as you say the latest MRT, which I would also recommend

If I were buying a new one now, I'd buy the AMB RC4 hybrid. MRT are fine, but I believe you'll end up with numbers that aren't unique.

regarding the mrt ones

i think ive read that they use number that amb no longer use

MattW 04-06-2014 09:11 PM

That as maybe, but they don't have an infinite number, so many of them will be sold with the same numbers. Yes you get multiple numbers, but you will still have the same numbers as other people.

I have MRT's that are clones of the AMB's that I own, so I know that I'm the only one with those numbers. I wouldn't ever dream of buying an MRT that wasn't a close of my own.

Unless you own a ambrc dp pt, then you get your own unique number, think I have 7 now all my own number, but then u take ur chances I suppose in that amb have no customer service for repairs and you can not change damaged wires, not forgetting there not a uk company too :woot:
