Cheap Shocks for my Losi XXCR
 

Hey, just got my first buggy and need some shocks im looking for some cheap shocks. 2x 100mm annd 2x80mm.

They are the sizes ive been told , please correct me if they sound wrong.

Their not the correct sizes. Losi dont use metric.

Are these the shocks that seem to feature on all the X6 cars,

are all 2 Wheel Drive losi shocks the same, and are the rear the same as 4 wheel drive, and could you put associated (B4) or other shocks on a CR ?

No the shock are not all the same, which is why X6 owners want the shocks off a BK2 rather than the CR, etc.

So do i order all different parts seperatly or do you order shocks?

AFAIK, all Losi off road buggies use the same front shocks, 0.6" shaft and body.
The early (pre XXX) 2WD and XX4 use 1.2" shaft and body.
All XXX use 0.9" body and 1.0" shaft.
XXX4-G+ uses 1.2" body and 1.0" shaft.

I can't remember for sure what the original XXX4 used, but I think it was the same as the XX4.

Im sure the rear xxx4 shocks are diff to xx4 ones.

Hey mate sorry but i didnt understand that. I know it must of took u a bit to tell me tht but im brand new to buggys and not that knew to Rc itself at all.

Losi shock body and shafts are categorised by size, in inches, of the available stroke, not overall length.

The front shock set is A5032 and the rear is A5034 but these will set you back around £30 each!:o

"all buggys use same front shock" would that be [U]except[U] pre XXX 2WD and the XX4 which use a 1.2" on the front, or would the 1.2" be rear.

All XXX use .9" and XXX4-G+ 1.2" is that front or rear. and whats so special about BK2 shocks.

(we are moving toward an X6 and would like to use losi shocks of course, but new cost a bit and secondhand on the bay cost more than they are worth, think we will stick with associated to start)

OK, for the hard of thinking, I'll go over it again.:p

All Losi buggies use the same front shock, no exceptions.

All XXX use the same rear shock, no exceptions.

Pre XXX 2WD and all XX4 use the same rear shock.

XXX4 uses XX4 rear shocks. Confirmed by looking on the Losi website.

XXX4-G+ uses 1.2" (XX4 rear) bodies and 1.0" (XXX) rear shafts.

The only thing you need from a BK2 over any other XXX is the CVD axle to allow more droop.
