MHeadling 12-10-2014 08:34 PM

Any sign of them yet on UK/German soil??!!

The Yanks have got the kit out, read you need to use the 22-4 turnbuckles as the new ball cups are 3.5mm

It was end august, then end october, now it's end november : http://www.tlracing.com/Products/Def...odID=TLR231027 . Be patient till march because all the stock is gone in the 22SCT 2.0

i just got one through DMS.
swapped it out with the Exotek one that was in there. has different geometry - the bellcranks are slightly shorter and the bar that the ball joints attach to is longer. ive also swapped to the spindles included as well which has a shorter arm.

will try it out on sunday and see how much of a difference it makes.

though it has allowed me to mount my servo a bit further forward, which in turn means that i have been able to move the speedo lower onto the chassis rather than on the waterfall and mount the battery a few centimetres further forward.

I received mine a couple of days ago from Apex.

Hoping it will give me some more low speed steering.

vrooom 19-10-2014 01:46 PM

How does it compare to exotek v2 ?

200sx 19-10-2014 07:07 PM

Just fitted the bellcrank. Some of the parts it comes with are clearly not designed for the buggy. e.g.

The spindles supplied are labelled for the shortcourse and when fitted to the buggy give HUGE Ackermann, outside wheel hardly moves when inside hits full lock.

The supplied inline ballcups are designed for 3.5mm thread turnbuckles, so don't fit the buggy turnbuckles.

used it for the first time yesterday and i loved it
gave us some more initial steer and overall more balance between the low and fast speed corners
we race the 0 degree hubs to give us a bit more byte and i think with the new bellcranks we can go back to the 5 degree hubs

overall i think we wont be going back to the slider
play is minimal after a full day practice compared to the slider

200sx 19-10-2014 09:43 PM

I'll stick with the 5 degree hubs then.

Did you have the same experience as me with the extra parts in the bellcrank kit?

jaydits 20-10-2014 06:14 PM

no everything fits perfect only the hd cubs not
i heatted up a normal ballcub and bend it a bit and put it on the hub side
worked great so i dont have to wait for the hd stuff

200sx 21-10-2014 02:55 PM

So you used the spindles labelled sct?

200sx 21-10-2014 05:43 PM

I managed to sort it. Spaced the top of the shock 1mm to get enough clearance to use the standard turnbuckles

Pedders 19-02-2015 07:57 PM

Just wondered if anyone else recommended this as a worthwhile upgrade ??

I do feel the steering has a lot of play in its current guse as a minimum.

discostu 19-02-2015 11:05 PM

yep get it it make the car drive and feel better more consistence

Pedders 26-02-2015 11:58 AM

Ok thanks. One ordered.

millser 26-02-2015 12:45 PM

where did you order from???????

Pedders 26-02-2015 06:54 PM
