Tm2 v1 steering lock...? Can't achieve full throw
 

Is there any upgrade/mod needed to achieve full throw? I'm struggling to get full throw especially tinting right. I've got full dual rates and the steering is fully locked out but will not go any further
Any help much appreciated

If you have the updated nose plates with the strengthening post check this as the servo saver and idler arms hit the post before full lock, just file the post down to add some clearance. Also the inner ball joints on the front track rods touch the saver and idler arms, again just remove a little material from the arms on the inner edge of the kink.

Nose plate? Do you mean the front chassis plate? And idler arm? Looked at the manual and can't see these parts?

The other option is totry and find the origional top and bottom nose plates with no centre screw, problem should then be cured, had the same problem with my tm2:thumbsup:

I put the ball stud in the front of the ackerman arm so the ball ends to not bind. Use thinner washers under the screw heads which go through the ackerman bar. Remove the small plastic lumps on the steering arms which the ackerman is mounted to this stops the screw heads hitting the lower plate. Remove some plastic from the front C-Hubs so they have a 45 degree chamfer so that the steering knuckles can move further. Remove some of the plastic in the upper and lower front end parts so as to allow the steering arms to have more travel.

All sorted now lads cheers, seems a bit of a crap design that you have to dremel several areas of this car.... But I guess it performs bloody well!
