Costly news

Hmm, well a few of you know I have been trying to contact TH quirks about hiring the roller with no success, sadly today I have found out why….. as I paged through there dispersal sale catalogue:(.
I have had an account with quirks for over 10years for both my business and for the club, and for the club they did us some great terms. Look like most small hard working family firms as it's ended up in a sale yard.

Now here is the problem, I can find anther firm, I can open an account to save the deposits but the rates that I am being quoted are close to double what we were paying:woot:.the roller was costing £36 a day, I'm now looking at a few quid short of £70 per day, this means maintaining the tracks has just got more expensive. Also quirks would let us have the machine for the weekend and only charge us for the sunday as it sat in my yard doing nothing saturday, the new firm will do a weekend rate more £££ meaning if we only need a days hire it needs to be done during the week, not easy for me at the min

Guess the next bit,

Either we only get half a days racing :p ... or club racing prices are heading north, & I'm guessing it's not the former...

nope the next bit is simple, I may need to put the cost of racing up, I booked the roller for this weekend as I have no time in the week, £115 instead of £36:cry:

Eeek!!

I don't mind donating £10 for the hire and paying more for club racing, Say somewhere between £5 to £7 per meeting.

Happy to make a donation, if a few of us stick our hands in our pockets we should be able absorb the increase with no real difficulty! How many times a year do you hire it Dave?
