Correct Spektrum Module

I have been having issues with my Spektrum module on my KO Ex10 Helios transmitter.

Its an SM1001 and I am finding it hard to get a replacement.

I thought the SM1001 was the KO module, but have found a SM1001 with 'Futaba/Hitec' written on it.

Silly question does anyone know if it would work ?

No there different internally.and no longer made.

Used to have an issue with mine, and the pins in the tx were loose/dry joints. If your not confident to do it send it to Derek Bailey

Thanks, mine is an issue with the module.

Have to hold it in to keep it binded.
Tc works fine with 40 mhz

But if it is a dry joint on the pins in the transmitter, pushing the module around will deflect the pins slightly and will most likely make a connection. It's certainly worth a look if you are happy A) taking your transmitter apart. B) competent / confident enough with a soldering iron just to touch on the joints to re-make them. As a dry joint isn't necessarily obvious.

It's worth a go..

Your 40mhz module could be very slightly offset and therefore not displaying the same problem. It may also only be a momentary break which may not be as noticeable on 40mhz, but 2.4 will take its time to re-bind etc.

I had an issue with pins once, they didn't make a good enough connection, cleaned up and fiddled with connectors in the module sorted it, but I didn't have any dry joints on mine not to say you don't.
