2014 BRCA SE 4WD Regional Championship RD1 - Sunday 27 April - Eden Park Raceway
 

Dear Racers

Round 1 (of 4) of the 2014 SE 4WD Regional Off-road Championships. As per usual there will also be an Open class to cater for drivers from outside the SE Region and those wishing to run a 2WD around.

To be held at Eden Park Raceway (check out: http://www.edenparkraceway.com/) on Sunday 27th April 2014.

Track WILL NOT open until approx. 08:30 for practice so please DO NOT arrive too early! The track has near neighbours which we do not want upset by excessive early noise, thank you!

See you all there, don't forget FREE entry for ALL Juniors, U13's and U16's.

Oh and don’t forget your 2014 BRCA Membership details please, there WILL be a check.

I have never been to Eden Park - is there any food available on site or nearby?

I have asked Matt about the food

He has told me that the club have informed the bar that there is a meeting going on, so I would say 80% yes for food but not first thing.

There are garages and cafe with in a 5 to 10min walk from the Track

Once the club house is open there will be cold and hot drinks 100%

Thanks Ian, spot on.

Just to confirm that EPR is located on the grounds of a sports and social club but our landlords are difficult to deal with. Sadly they have changed the lock on the toilet that we used to be able to access at all time, but we will try and get the toilets opened up ASAP - this is just one reason why we try and avoid racers turning up too early...

With the weather forecast being heavy rain all day now, is the 4WD at Eden park still going to happen.
It's just I'm travelling from Ipswich and don't want a wasted journey.

Email I've received from Matt at EPR

Yes the forecast is for rain, but at the moment the sun is actually shining here and as far as I know the track has been prepped by the guys today.

We dont like to postpone or cancel races if we can help it so it is our intention to run a meeting tomorrow. The grass pitting area is firm and the track will take a lot of rain before it starts to puddle.

We have our fingers crossed.
