Just did this with xp, outlook express, used export, in the file menu, import on laptop, pen drive.

Edit: I'm too slow!

You could export/import them as a .CSV file. I think the export/import function is directly under the "File" menu.

Hope that helps.

You need to find your .pst file, you will find it in the users/app data/outlook folder using file explorer. This is you personal information file, it has everything from outlook (contacts, notes, appointments)

Copy this into the same folder on your laptop.

You can either replace the original or change the name, if you give it a different name you can then have 2 sets of personal folders in outlook.

Its got nothing to do with Vista/XP as its the Outlook programme that you are working with.

You may have an issue from Outlook Express to Outlook, but I have successfully copied a PST file from 1 PC to another both using Outlook with different operating systems.

Do you use a PDA because that is another option by syncing onto the PDA and then from there to the second PC.

PS
Outlook needs to be closed when making a copy of the file as it is in use while ever Outlook is open

Just had a quick search on google which shows that outlook pre 2003 works slightly different.

Have a look at this, there are two possible solutions
