servo horns

well my first outing with cat 2day and i kept stripping the servo horns because it hasn't got a saver . anybody know any good servo arms ?. i have ko 2413 servo .

KO themselves or the Fastrax 'copies' are the best. They have a metal ring round the material outside the spline which holds it in and stops stripping.

This type of thing;

Obviously you trim off the bits you don't need.

My first time out today and in the final I managed to lose the screw that holds the horn on to the servo.

Never has that happened to me before in many years of racing!

Jonesy fella, chin up.. dont let this put you down. Maybe you could try some thread lock on the screw in future. This should stop the screw falling out.

Jayst: First i would check the end points on your steering because if you they are too high this will put too much force on the servo horn when it reaches full travel. As Dan says try the fastrax servo and you shouldnt have any more problems.

my end points r spot on ben , i only stripped them when it landed awkward of a triple jump . ive got some ko arms and might get a kimbro servo saver just incase.

I had a similar problem and am going to try a Kimbro Servo Saver on mine. The only issue is the larger Kimbro savers take some dremeling so they will fit. Even after the dremeling they hit the chassis some and cause the servo to move up and down.

I ended up using the mid sized kimbro servo saver and it seems to work I am just concerned if it has thaken away any steering throw. Next race day will tell the tail
