Club night Friday April 11th

So who is joining us for another fantastic night of 1/10th and Micro action at Wales' premier RC racing club?

Last week was awesome with racing starting by 7:30pm again we managed 4 rounds of qualifying and a final for all 6 heats, tell me where else you can get that much pleasure for just £2

Of course this is only possible with the help of everyone attending mucking in together to build the track and pack it all away again at the end of the night so thanks for continuing to be a thoroughly great bunch of people

Chances are I may not be there myself this week as we're holidaying Monday to Friday, but you never know ;-)

I did notice on Friday that some where requesting a big air for this week. so Mr track builder brian, could you accommodate us with a big air this week.

Big jumps not for all driver tho si the new lot may not like it I mite not be there this week as no way of getting there and home

zoaman 08-04-2014 06:56 AM

Ah but they will have to take the rough with the smooth.lol

The last time a big air jump was put in the track with an option to bypass it most drivers used the bypass route and not the jump.
Also with there being heats with 8 or 9 1/10th cars in them you have to consider the safety of the marshalls as some of the younger drivers we now have at the club may take a risk of going to the aid of a car even though cars are still taking the jump.

with the mixed 1/10th ( heats graded by ability ) what happens if you want to run 4wd and 2wd on the same night ????.

zoaman 09-04-2014 07:28 PM

YOU WILL HAVE TO BE QUICK.HAHA :D

I'm not there this week sadly, but have to agree with Brian regarding the big air.

Brian, tbh if we weren't mixing the heats we'd probably have to say that people couldn't run more than one class due to the large numbers of people racing at the moment.
There's nothing to stop you running different cars in each round in your heat if you wanted - I think Balders did that last week, after sulking with his 22-4 he ran the B5M instead.

brian s 09-04-2014 09:19 PM

not me running two 1/10th classes, would have been grandkids to get more practice. maybe get them micro`s then :woot:

peetbee 09-04-2014 09:43 PM

LOL, my comment about numbers still applies tho Bri!
Another two micros would push the numbers into needing two heats for the little perishers (the cars not your grandkkids!) which would mean 7 heats:woot:

Not me again this week, nationalising at Kiddy
