Rear buggy wheels thats on the front ?

Im looking for some rear buggy wheels that will fit on the front of a b44.1, ive tried playing around with different sizes but the size tire that I want to use are only made in rear :thumbdown:.

thanks, I tried that but with the small in length axel it wont fit. Ill keep trying.

Convert to 12mm hex with something like this:

Ah, good point the axle length I had forgotten about. You could build up with rear axles?

Why exactly do you need the same front and rear tires? Are they a special tread or compound, or is it purely aesthetic?

This is probably the only way to go if you really want wide wheels: it's not just the shorter axle you have to deal with, the ball stud that connects to the tie rods (and the arm it mounts to) is probably in the way if you'd mount a rim that extends further to the inside. However, the width of your car will increase at the front (which may make the car illegal for racing), and some other factors will be changed too that affect the handling (such as the scrub radius).

Have you tried mounting the wide tires onto 4WD front rims? They probably become a bit chubby, but it's an easy and cheap thing to check :)

Then there's also something called 'cut 'n shut tires':

You take a tire (or several), cut them in several parts and glue them back into the shape you desire. There are flexible CA glues which should do the trick. I can imagine some fibre reinforced tape could also function as an internal reinforcement for the carcass. The example I posted above might be a bit of an extreme, but it shows what's possible :) Just remember that for racing this is often not legal.

The only solution I found was to mill the inside of the wheel to the same thickness as a 4wd front and then with a hot chisel, melt a new groove for the pin fixing. This is on Schumacher wheels (old style) which use a pin fixing, F & R on 4wd. This way the rear wheel fits onto the front driveshafts the same as a front wheel would.
