JUST WONDERING IF YOU CAN HELP?

HI
I was thinking as there are many weird and wonderful people on here, if anyone could help me? As I've met a lot of people on here that have a variety of occupations (obviously).:D

So what I need help with is... getting a book published.:woot:

I am writing one at the moment - in my spare time (3.5 mins a day) and wondered if anyone works or deals with publishing/editing etc in the book world.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

Thanks

Yanina x

That would be a good idea:thumbsup:. I'm afraid not for kids and not very happy bunny, lovey dovey type.

Yanina,

you can publish books yourself, i know people who have done this and you can sell them through amazon. I dont know much more than this though but i know this is the cheapest and easiest way to make sure your book is on the shelves

If you want to get onto the shelves such as at WHSmiths, waterstones etc, then have a look at what is already on their shelves of similar book type, see who publishes it and make contact. A google search may reveal a website for the publisher and if you can get an appointment with there head purchaser and sell him/her the book, wet there appetite, then they'll be keen to put you forward to the major stockists.

Beforehand, it might be worth sending some samples to a book club and ask for written opinions so you can use this material to support your sale. It'd look good on you to have done some prep before getting to the publishers.

Good luck!!! :)
