Car Hire

Anyone work for one?

Specifically National?

I hired a golf for a couple of weeks while my car was getting resprayed, i returned it on the 19th of sept and they have charged my card £200 which is fine. But since then i have had 2 calls asking if i have finished with the car, and a text this morning asking for a mileage update for the car, oh and they also owe me the £620 deposit i had to pay before i took the car

And i cant get in touch with anyone, i think its because they are scottish and im stealing their oil :p

Lee we use them all the time, i had a scenic for about 5 weeks and about a month after it went back i had a call asking for a mileage update:confused: If you are ringing there national number forget it, ring your local office and give them the rental agreement number and they will sort you out:thumbsup: I think they all of there paperwork by snailmail or carrier pidgeon:woot:

Many-many years ago I worked for one as a summer job, and you would be surprised how many cars they lost! I went to a garage to pick a repaired one up and they asked me when we were going to pick the other up as they had got so fed up with it they had moved it with a forklift truck. It was a new focus that had done 55 miles that someone had taken there 6 months earlier and forgotten about!
Or the other regular was driving round Stansted carpark looking for a telltail marker that it was a "insert brand here"hire car and finding out it had been there for weeks or even months with the keys sitting in it, most was a £1500 parking ticket (shortstay) was just easier to "lose" the ticket and get a £60 replacment.
As long as you have the PRI (pre rental inspection) that says you returned it they can't do anything

Cheers chaps,

I eventually got a reply yesterday from them, they had forgotten about it and one branch had given me anothers car, anyway they overcharged my by £150 too which was nice of them so they are meant to be refunding that and also giving me my £620 deposit back
