Reventon Pro - Hybrid Boost

Hi

I have installed a Reventon Pro in my touring car for running boosted 13.5. I have updated it to the Stock software that has 'Hybrid Boost' I am also running a Reedy 13.5 with it.

Last night I was trying it out and showing a friend as I was worried that it was a bit noisy. He seems to think it's OK, but we did notice that when accelerating there was a point where the red light comes on the speed controller and the motor noise changes, it then goes out and sounds 'normal' again.

Has anyone else noticed this, or is a fault?

Thanks

Steve

I've noticed similar on my rev pro (running in a buggy tho) i dunno how to describe it, but the motor sounds more urgent and willing to rev. Only happens if i'm very aggresive with the settings tho.

Been running it for ~6 months and its not got any worse, so i'm not worrying about it.

I have no idea whether the light is normal as I do not know the reventon pro, however a change in motor speed is normal as that the is boost and turbo coming into effect.

But you should never bench test a boosted setup as the extra RPM the motor can pull without a load may be enough to damage the rotor. Test it on the track only.

+1 Not a good idea to bench test a boosted motor.

Unless you want to see what a shattered rotor looks like.

Didn't realise you were running it out of the car, mine makes the nose on the road.
