pro ball sockets or rose joints ?

hey got a k1 , fitted the pro ball cups for peice of mind , only ran the car for one meeting , and luckily they only popped off a couple of times and not in the accual timed race ..

is it wise to fit rose joints ? or stick to the pro ball cups ??

cheers

I fitted the rose joints but broke two of them! so couldn't finish the race so i have gone back to the ball cups.
Unless I was unlucky??

cool , funnily enough , i have some xray rose joints from a t3 touring car , and have worked out if i add a 1mm shim they will have the same height etc as the shuey ball sockets , but would prefer to fit rose joints for peice of mind , but not sure if its safer to pop a ball joint instead of moving the stress point somewhere else !!:woot:

I found even with the pro ball cups the steering links could pop off at the hubs, changed the outer ball cups to the rise joints and never had a problem since.

No, that would be too stiff and if you had a big enough accident you could break the steering rack.
