Removing tyres using a steamer

This may sound a daft question but how do I use a steamer to remove 1/10 offroad tyres?

fill it with water, but tyres in pot and switch it on!:D

If it's an electric steamer don't fill it, there will be an optimum water measure, mine is 90 mil which takes 15mins or so to boil off and stop. Your tyres may need more than 1 go but I would let them cool in between and peal as much as you can with your fingers while they cool.
No expert, it doesn't always work perfectly but has helped me out a few times and saved me a few quid.

So are we putting them in the water or in one of the sections where you would normally put veg in???

Wouldn't a hand held steam cleaner like this do it faster as you can concentrate a jet directly on the rim and your veg wont smell like an old nodder after. Under £14 you can give it to the missus as a present too.

I just stick mine in a pan of boiling water for 30 min, drop em in cold and they peel straight off.

Steaming will have same effect, but I'd say a Hand held would be a pain.
