Esc and motor

Looking for some advice, unfortunately esc and motor went up in smoke last night whilst racing

Would welcome peoples thoughts on a good esc and motor (6.5 or 7.5) to buy for circa £150. Was looking at dual sky but would like others feedback on good/reliable equipment and advice

Depends on your application. For 2wd SCT i'd say the castle sidewinder SCT combo w/3800kv 1410 motor is pretty much all you need and it can shove quite a few 4wd's around as well. Downside is it is sensorless but with the motor being a 4-pole that isn't too much of an issue.
For a buggy, I find the LRP combo that comes in the S10 blast brushless models is pretty quick but runs very hot out of the box. The motor is from my reckoning an 8.5 turn unit.
