Full size stick pack in trf201xm?

Ok so i was too impatient to wait for the new trf201xm kit to be released and have bought a used 201 complete with xr and xm conversions.
Can anyone confirm if you can run a full size stick lipo in the xm version car?

Initially I thought the only options were saddle packs or a shorty stick pack but this picture makes me think that a full size stick might work??

Anyone know the answer?

Thanks - jph

Oh and just to clarify my car won't arrive for a week or two so i can't check myself, and yes that's a shorty pack in the pic above but there looks to be enough free space for a full size stick pack, maybe?

Thanks :)

It won't fit properly in the current XM, the new one will be longer so might fit in there.

Maybe if you remove the brace from the gearbox to the chassis so the stick can go against the motor, but if you want that?

I'm already using a low profile servo in my XM and stil need 5-10mm to make it fit.

Thanks Roel, I guess I will have to buy a shorty or saddle pack then :(

This is my XM with saddle packs and low profile servo. You cannot fit a full size stick pack in the XM, unless, as the others have said remove the rear gearbox brace. That would create too much flex in the chassis. You can however fit one easily in the XR (other picture). Shorty you can fit in both with some easy mods, as their is not a 'standard' fitment supplied.

Thanks David - problem solved as i picked up a used shorty pack right here on oople.

By the way I'm envious of your car collection - very nice :)

The XM and XR are the same chassis. Never driven it in XR form. If I decide to get the new XM Worlds kit when released I might convert the XM back to XR.
