S104 Diffs
OK so I got got my car put together and noticed that it does not roll...first I checked the slipper and it was to tight, took it out and loosen it up.I then checked the front diffs and there smooth but the back ones seem to be locking up :confused:There is some resistance but the wheels do turn but not like the front any ideas..:thumbsup: before I break it all down agean :eh?:

You have put one of the drive shaft pins down the wrong hole. Instead of putting it through the small hole in the bushing you have put it down the centre of the bushing. It will most probably be the rear mid drive shaft pin. Check each rear wheel individually, if they both rotate fine then those ones are fine and it will defo be the rear mid shaft pin for the rear diff pinion input. I know a couple of people this has happened to,.......me being one! Although mines was the front left driveshaft one.

did you take out the diff to fix your problem?

He means take the driveshaft apart and check the pivot is assembled correctly

As mentioned above, take the affected hub/driveshaft apart and the problem will be obvious. An easy fix if it's the wheel driveshaft.
