Spot on just didn't think they'd be up to much didn't want it blow up or anything

Identical - but it takes the voltage over 8.40 - which is illegal at sanctioned events.

Uses cheaper electronics internally, not as accurate or reliable

Don't think it's that safe either!

Just looked at the copy on HobbyKing

http://hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/sto...lls_COPY_.html

The description given...

"This is a copied B6 charger, It's quality and reliability is not as good as the Genuine iMAX B6."

ATTENTION: If you would like accurate and reliable charging, please see the related link below for the iMAX B6 GENUINE.

PRODUCT ID: IMAXB6-FAKE"

Amazing how are blatant they are about selling fake goods.

Pity the SKY-RC stuff has been ripped off so much because their original equipment is pretty good.

I bought the same 'fake' charger from Hobbyking when I got back into the hobby. I was a little worried but most of the reports seemed fairly good, most went along the lines of "I've had one for months and its fine" and the bad ones were always "I knew a guy, who had a mate, who had one and it blew up"

Anyway I took the risk. It's been great, I've tested the voltage on a voltage checker and multimeter after a full charge and it does not exceed 8.39v.

I'm sure they're all not that bad. You can actually calibrate the voltage using a multimeter and amending the charger, so its accurate. Mine was dead on anyway.
