Wire Gauge

Can any body tell me what the best gauge wire is to use with a Speed Passion Reventon pro?

Does the ESC come with wires or is it best to order some.

Just getting back into this and still got lots to learn.

The speed passion pro comes with the 5 wires you need and a capacitor,
The wires can be a bit short depending on layout and what vehicle it's fitted into,
if I remember correctly it's 14awg wiring included but only 15cm long,

The only thing that isn't included (but comes with there motors) is the sensor wire,
Also with the speed passion motors they run quick change connectors so no soldering needed directly to the motor,

hope this helps

The only reason to order differrent wire is if you want one colour
Or if your running a 5.5t in a 4wd buggy or 4.5t mod touring car i would personally step the wire guage up a bit
Otherwise it ill be fine

Thanks thats perfect.

I am buying a SP combo motor and ESC from new.

Will I still need the 5mm Plugs for the battery (intellect)

Cheers again for the help

What's it going into?
The speed passion combo comes with everything besides battery plugs,
And the sensor lead is quite short (75mm ish)

Its all going in a DEX210

Think mine came with 12 gauge.

But either way, the correct wire is in the box. You can go to something else if you want, for most 10th scale buggies/cars either 12 or 14 will be fine. Unless you are running some mega boosted low turn motor in a heavy car.

FWIW, I'm using 12awg in my 210, had 14 in it before, but when I rewired, I only had 12 to hand!

Will get some just in case.

Thanks again for the quick responses and help guys

I run reventon with 12g no probs any size will fit the esc itself rule of thumb so i learned is shorter battery wire longer motor.
And the holes for the capacitor connections are close together i have heard of shorts there so make a good solder to the terminals instead.

regular 2S stick or saddle hardcase packs use 4mm bullet connectors.

it does not come with battery connectors, you will need some 4mm bullets as I mentioned above.
