Lipo voltage regulator

I want to use Lipos with an ESC not specifcically marked for Lipos. i.e no built in voltage protection. What do I need? A Novak smart stop or what? Where can I get one? Are there any other issues apart from voltage protection?

a smart stop is fine, all you want is something that will make sure the car stops at 3v per cell

are there any (cheaper is what i'm getting at!) alternatives to the novak one?

chris_dono 29-09-2008 01:35 PM

modeltech do a similar thing for about half the price of the novak one

Modeltech one looks good @ £12.99. For FWD ESC only - ok for mine!

Out of stock though:(

I'd pay the extra cash and get the Novak one. It's not worth risking your Lipos for the sake of £10 IMHO
