Just seen a pic of ty tressmans reedy race car can anyone shed some light on it

I haven't seen pictures of his RB6 at the Reedy Race, but is it the same as the side-by-side saddle layout he was running on his RB6 at the Worlds?

Id say this is the likely answer. Jared Tebo still runs the RB6 pretty stock, with a shortie configuration. The RB6 front end is a superb model to base a car on, so id not blame him for using it if it was for HB work.
