why are people so &*%^$(! stroppy these days?

Like the thread says, why are people so silly/stroppy these days?
take today for example, my 2nd hobbie is autograss racing and i went to watch racing at smallfields today and they had hot rods and banges on today, now these hot rods are extremely expensive (alot more than a banger) some of them are costing in excess of £1500! So you can imagine and justify wwhy they get a bit pissed off if you pranged there motor, but what ive noticed lately, the banger drivers do it! Like today some one hit someone else in bangers and then next thing you no people from the diffrent teams are picking up blnt heavy objects and crowbars (nothing hppened though).
I mean come on people.....ITS 'BANGER' RACING, it says it all in the name

Another example was i went on holiday with a mate to devon and was using the 2 pence machines and i knocked loads down and the chute jammed, so i asked a maintanance man to hep and i said to him are they all mine? and he then turned around and told me i ouldnt have them for being rude, i must of lost like £4.00 there, not alot but £4.00s, £4.00:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

To be fair Banger racing is like the chavvy / pikey part of motorsport though so the people that i know that did it from school etc were always out looking for a fight anyway - give them a car and they're going to be no different!

savageman25 29-09-2008 06:15 PM

sorry for those who had to see the post i just edited but ive had a "£$% day and i dont think thats fair what you said nick goodall, have you actually seen banger racing and spoken to some of the drivers, the people who i reffered to are w****rs anyway but on the whole the people i no down at layhams are great guys, so dont go and judge the sport if for one you only judge the drivers on your so called school friends and if you havent even tried it

cwilson 29-09-2008 08:10 PM

good point there. dont just judge it before you've tried it. i have and i think its fantastic. most of the time theyre really freindly but some people are just f&%$ing w@$£!rs

savageman25 29-09-2008 10:05 PM

Yeah - clever post . Tar us all with the same brush why don't you.

Whatever you do you'll always get the minority who spoil things. I've made a lot of friends and met some real decent people around the ovals.

We're not all neanderthals you know :wtf:

PMSL no thanks mate, i can't think of a worse way to spend a Sunday!

Lee 01-10-2008 08:50 AM

I can nick, banger racing but losing your trousers at the same time.

I am of the opinion that in almost all instances losing your trousers would make the situation worse

If its not about driving round in circles bashing eachother about what is it about then

But you're quite prepared to slate the sport for being chavvy / pikey and full of people who just want to fight all the time - without actually bothering to experience the sport first hand? So your opinion is purely based on hearsay and rumour......

Go you eh?

To be honest nothing i've read on here is changing my opinion either lol.

I'm just basing my opinion on everyone that i know or have known / seen to do it - Maybe it's only "daaaan saaarf" they're like this but honestly the people i knew that did it were not very pleasant at all and that would be enough of a reason to stop me ever wanting to go anyway, i'd far rather go and watch any other type of motorsport - Sorry if that offends you.

Wrong again - I'm more Southern than you.

I'm not offended at all. You're entitled to your opinion. But it would carry more weight if your opinion was based on your own experiences trackside rather than "I knew someone once who did it"......

Anyway - back to smashing cars up.......ever tried R/C Bangers?

Lee 01-10-2008 12:10 PM

I'm sorry maybe im a retard but what is the attraction of putting time and money into something just to smash it up
