5.5 gearing
 

Just putting a 5.5 in my bx, not sure were to start with gearing. I have the standard spur (84 I think:eh?:) was thinking if an 18T pinion

What do you think? what do others run?

start there and go up. i started with a 17 and went as high as a 21. depending on track size and traction.

Dave, I'm running mine on 17/87, you've seen it go, so you'll know it seems ok, even up the hill at Coastal:thumbsup:

I run an Orion 5.5 and I have it geared 18/87 and it's pretty much perfect.

I didn't know you were running a 5.5...

Yep. With crappy batteries you need more motor..........
