Anyone planning to run stock buggy on the 31st of Jan?

You running it Dave? Anyone else?

Dave Dodd 27-01-2014 12:01 PM

Yeah I'll be running mine

cunawarit 27-01-2014 12:04 PM

OK cool :) Will be setting the timing to zero on mine and running it again to see it compares :D

The Doctor 28-01-2014 06:55 PM

No it's boring.

msmith105e 28-01-2014 07:47 PM

Lol paul

cunawarit 28-01-2014 11:26 PM

*puts Paul his spam list* from now on I'll get a notification that you said or wrote something. I'll then have a choice; one dispose of what you said or wrote, or process what you just said or wrote.

Be warned though, previous experience now tells me that processing you is about as important as processing an insurace salesman cold caller.

Ooh that's harsh.

Still think it's boring though.

Dave Dodd 29-01-2014 08:01 PM

Lol.

Slow and steady racing

Should work okay with this Fridays track plan. ;)

leedolby77 29-01-2014 08:24 PM

Well actually I am tempted to give it a go too, please remind me the rules on setup:wub

Dave Dodd 29-01-2014 08:45 PM

2wd
13.5 with blinky esc
Venom white tires..

We are testing to see if sensorless 12t is close too with zero timing.

The Doctor 29-01-2014 10:49 PM

And; drive slowly, wear a cap, display hand signals when cornering, walk in front of the car with a red flag, etc etc

cunawarit 29-01-2014 11:18 PM

Slow, steady, sideways and needing decent throttle control. I find it fun :) Join Lee, with enough of us running stock spec it'll be more fun.

*ping* anyway, I think Paul has said something.

leedolby77 29-01-2014 11:25 PM

Nothing important I am sure

leedolby77 30-01-2014 08:44 PM

Ah, slight issue, I might be leaving the buggy until next week as after too much bolly I don't think the soldering iron is a good idea! But on the upside I do have a new t-shirt....... Might wear it on Friday

Great, it worked! We were very close :)

Fun class, I can't believe more people are not choosing to have off road sideways fun :D

msmith105e 01-02-2014 10:30 AM

I think I may've figured why my buggy broke last night...... I had to spin the tyred for such a ridiculous ammount of time to get them to grip that I must've stripped the idler gears by over stressing them... found it quite difficult racing in the slower heat too as other people using minipins tend to take diffrent lines through the corners...

cunawarit 01-02-2014 05:42 PM

I had to set up my buggy differently to cope with the no grip rear tyres. Once done it isn't a massive problem, 4 wheel drifts round turns, yay!!!... Both me and Dave made the A-main, lol... Sorry about getting in everyone's way :(
