first run cubed

I was really impressed first run last night and found it such a easy car to drive and fast even with a 4 year old lrp sxx 10.5 combo. A few chagnes throught the night and gained .7 on best lap. Need to get my head round 2wd driving over 4wd but can not say enough about how nice the car felt and how each change on the set up you could feel.
not sure on the gear ratio..... waiting on new speedo and motor now some weight for front end and a avid slipper
Well done X-factory on a nice well handling car. Roll on next week :thumbsup:

Cubed was my first 2WD as well from a 4WD (B44.1). I agree it is an easy transition to 2WD, and also agree with extra front end weight. I have an 8.5t which is plenty of motor and have not changed setup from the fast guys setup at my club.

I have the JConcepts ally steering update which improved on the B4.1 plastic stuff and will be adding the carbon steering shortly.

Did any of you glue the edges of yours chassis when you built up your cubeds ???

cheers ;)

GrimIdol, Glad you had a great maiden voyage! It's a great car and with a lil time getting used to it and optimising set up you'll love it more! Have a look at some set ups on tracks similar to yours, weight is a very good tuning aid and it's worth seeing what weight works for others-and where! I'd definitely consider a team SR weighted front bumper.

Steven- Always worth glueing the edges, adds a little more protection against delaminating of the carbon, and when sanded and polished up, looks great IMO!;)
