Sanwa Receivers - options?

I use an older Sanwa Super Exzes - I have a couple of Sanwa receivers and a couple of Ansmann 3.1 receivers.

Is there anything else out there that works - as both of these receivers seem rare these days?

If not - what kind of module is the Sanwa TX?
There are Futaba and JR 'Orange' TX modules on Hobbyking that use sensibly priced receivers - will one of these work in the Sanwa, or is the module for Sanwa stuff Sanwa only ?!

Cheers.

I'd probably contact http://www.smddirect.co.uk/ as they're the Sanwa distro for the UK and have always been spot on for Sanwa queries etc.

May try them - just looked on their site - £90 ish for a Sanwa reciever - gulp....
Seems a bit of a joke when these Orange / Spectrum ones are £6.59 - yes - £6.59.....

I'd rather buy a different module for mine and different receivers if I can find which module fits / works etc.

HI, there was a LRP version of the sanwa Rx that is compatible, but I'm not sure if they're still available

racingdwarf 30-12-2013 05:58 PM

nope I'm in the same boat, the lrp C3 I'm sure is discontinued the ansmann 3.1 is also rare to find now ( so take care of the ones you have) both the new mico Rx's from sanwa will not work with the old exzes, if you can find one there is one 371??? or something like that but I think we will need to start looking to the US

sadly I'm sure the nice cheep orange ones will not work.

Cheers for the info :)
Is there not simply an option of putting say a Spektrum module in the TX and then using either Spectrum - or the nice tiny orange receivers? If so which module is it I need. Happy to buy another module if it them frees me up to a world of inexpensive receivers :)

not sure If spectrum make a module for the sanwa:confused:. If they did it would be interesting. My other set of radio that I have used for many years is Ko Universe with spectrum module and the receivers are nice and cheep, I prefer the sanwa set in my hands but the receiver prices are eye watering for what reason I'm not altogether sure of

I'm thinking of trying one of these, sanwa list shows compatibility

Only thing is I have read his feedback and not totally sure its what will turn up:confused::lol:

Spektrum made a module for the Sanwa tx, but it was in 2005 and it doesn't exist any more... or perhaps second hand.

Looks promising that receiver from ebay - shame we can't just buy those in the UK - not seen it before?

I've had a look around online and seen Sanwa Super Exzes Radio's go on oOple and ebay with the Spectrum SM1001 module in them - so they obviously work. Thing is (and i'm not familiar with this - or what it means) but I have read the modules work with DSM receivers and not the newer DSM2 receivers...

A pal of mine showed me the Hobbyking receiver at the weekend (he uses it with a Spectrum TX) and it's really tiny and looks great - worked flawlessly. So - question is - is there a newer Spectrum module that fits the Super Exzes that is DSM2?

Unfortunately not... the tx module were always DSM1 and thus not compatible with the small Hobby King receivers that are DSM2.

Bugger.

You could probably get either the orange dsm2/dsmx diy or frsky diy module in it.
