Perspex pit boards ?? Poly butler template ??

Hi all

Who if anyone supplies pit boards ? Looking for something decent made of Perspex about 10 or 12mm thick so I can paint it on the underside !

Also wondering if anyone has a pattern for vinyl wrapping a poly butler pit box ??

Cheers
Graham

Graham,
I have spent abit of time in the past looking for 'pit board' material. It not that difficult to come across but it can be expensive, I looked into buying a big sheet from a local sign maker but it worked out something like £300 for a 1m x 2m sheet 10mm thick !!!

eBay is probably one of the best places to look for a ' one off' bit but as they are quiet large items the postage is a killer !!

I ended up getting abit from a mate who knew a mate if you know what I mean

I know my reply hasn't helped your search much but it might give you something to think about

Be interesting to know where others get it from

Hi Graham.
I deliver sheets of perspex and got myself a few good sheets of 10mm thick.
I then set about it with my router via a template i had made so i can now router out circle cups for screws etc and a slot along the bottom,i then had a picture printed and mounted on the back with optical film.
The size i made is 610mm square.
I can email picture if your interested and cut you a sheet with or without screw cups.
Cheers
Dave

Hi I work for a plastic machining company and we have some acrylic off its in 12 mm. 4ftx approx 30".
You could also use polycarbonate and maybe thinner plastic vac-formed.
I also get rod offcuts in other plastics.
Pm me if you need anything, as I hate scrap going to land fill
