Back to racing.. M03 what electrics?
 
So ive found a local club (aylesbury) and found my old Mini M03 from the loft.. ive got a new radio set but need a motor (told stock 540) and ESC with charger and batteries... ive not got a CLUE what to buy - any ideas on what ESC, charger, battery etc i will need to get up and running ? I also want to bullrace the car, and get proper tyres ! sorry for all the numpty questions but dont have a clue so hope someone can help :)

Here you go…a thread from just slightly further down the page with advice on similar questions. I've just returned after a massive break and it all seemed V complicated, but it's actually (IMO) cheaper and far less maintenance on electrics now. Good luck and enjoy!

If you are running an M03 (still very quick in the right hands) then I would keep it cheap as chips. If running brushed then any 23t motor/esc will do fine (Ansmann clash, Modelsport cheap brushed esc).

If you are brushless then don't go for any faster than a 13T - the etronix/SkyRC Leopard (both identical) combos are excellent value. I've been using 2 of them over the last year and can't fault them:

If you want to run LIPOs then an M03 will need the round cased variety, something like this:
