Why aren't B44.2's not fashionable
 

Out of interest, why on earth do you not see that many B44.2's? I say this because whilst everyone was talking up the DEX410V3, Yokomo Bmax3, Xray XB4 of late - and in particular the prototypes at the worlds, it was a B44.2 with an alloy chassis and a gear diff conversion that took the title. Likewise it's still Neil Cragg tha took the national title.

I am pondering on getting a 4wd car, and am rather baffled by this - anyone know whay that is the case?

I lost faith when they ran a kyosho at the 1/8 worlds they shoulda had some faith In their own product

Apart from winning the worlds , i reckon Associated are in a good way at the moment.
They dont need to talk up there chassis simply because its done the task it was designed to do.

They will possibly incorporate there added items in the next kit. I.e the alloy chassis and geared diffs.

The talk at the moment is of the up and coming models from Losi....and so on . This does detract from the Associated camp somewhat.

I run a B44.1 , and happily may i add. The B44.2 im sure is a great car.

So in a nutshell , you pays your money and take your choice.

there were loads running at York this week and last, Neil Cragg, Rich Lowe, Greg Williams plus a few club racers. depends where you run and who the local top drivers are I guess?
Most are running gear diff's and ali chassis now.

Maybe cos they are not hip n trendy and cutting edge... :p

Who are we kidding? give any of the top guys any car n watch 'em blow us all into the weeds!!!

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Associated. How much are the geared diffs? Not only that, but are geared diffs the only way to go these days?

Its all fashion everyone.

B4.1 ownership put me right off ever owning another associated.

I moved from an XB4 to a b44.2 and after my initial adjustment period i'm starting to get to grips with it.
I like it. I was impressed with how well it appeared to go round my local track and decided to make the change based on that, I know several others that have made the same switch from schumacher K1's to b44.s and durango to b44
its a very well put together car and has some great option parts available
just wish they would hurry up with the geared diffs for it

For what you get they are over priced the kit is £290 but most people want gear diff's as they are better. The alloy chassis is also a must so after you have bought all this it would be much cheaper to get a xb4 2014 or dex410 v4. If ae had all these things on the car then they may sell more cars.

I rest my case... Dex v.4 already! The company have only been around 2 minutes...

The alloy chassis won't make any difference to the average driver. Out of the box the car is awesome, no upgrades needed.

And lets not mention the 2nd hand resale of said company :lol:

Are you aware the original, as we see it now, Durango was around at roughly 2003?

except, to be quite honest, the differences between the first prod car (2010?) and the v4 are minimal. It's probably still using around 85% of the same part numbers.
