Not under £100 unless you buy from Hong Kong
I have the 4000kv in my Nexx10sc and have never thought I needed more power, just stick a 3 cell in for a bit of fun!

ok thanks scrap first idea. How about this http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/Manufa...W81040280.html just not sure how quick it would be as I see its only 2250 kv and not to sure how kv works as I see some 540 motors are 4000-6000 any help would be great .

beale 14-12-2013 06:00 PM

2200kv x 7.4v = 16,280 RPM low kv generally for 4 cell 14.8v
4000kv x 7.4v = 29,600 RPM
Nitro engines as a guide run at around 30,000+RPM

I guess then 2250 kv would be quite slow compared to 4000 ? just asking because don't want to buy wrong motor as im used to seeing motors in turns.

The fusion exceed you've got there is pretty mental, the motor is (I think) 7200kv or there abouts. It's insane in the DEX410, so should be plenty quick enough in the DESC. Just need to play with pinion sizes. Think the DESC comes with both mod1 and 48dp spurs, so you'll be able to use either a buggy motor or an SC motor.

Only issue I can think of is that I don't *think* the DESC will take anything other than 2s saddles, so going for low kv motors and hoping to use 3 or 4 cell may well leave you with a rather slow car.

One down side with the exceed pro is that it doesn't run particularly cool. It needs a fan. Definitely does in a DEX, so I can't see it not needing one in the DESC!

I swear by my HW 4000kv combo (3656) in my DESC. Loads of speed (15t mod1 pinion and it devours long straights) smooth enough and doesn't break a sweat. If I was looking again for a SC combo I'd get the same again.

The trucks weigh a lot more than a 4wd buggy, which is why people use the larger 550 motors or the 4pole one I recommended.

I would not recommend using a low amp speedo and 540 type motor in a short course truck.

The combo I originally recommended is one of the best money can buy. Don't be put off buying fron china. Rc mart come highly recommended!!
