RC10 ESC / Motor Recommendation

Just picked up a re-released RC10, now the question is which ESC / Motor to put in it........

I would like something that is reliable, think I am going to race the RC10 on the odd occasion against modern 2wd's, I will also be using Lipo's....

What's the best combo??

I raced my Team RC10 at Maritime last Sunday with a old Nosram Matrix ESC and an HPI 8.5 motor, was as fast as anything else out there and the car held up fine.

Just be mindful that the Team car has a Stealth gearbox, not sure how strong the 6 gear is??

I am sure a 13.5 or 10.5 will be safe on the 6 gear.

Mine runs a team wave 10.5t but again it's a stealth box.

Are the stealth boxes coming out?

I had a stealth in my original, got it from the USA when I was on holiday, think I was 10 year old!!

I've put a 13.5 fusion motor and esc in mine, not raced it yet but it ran well around the the park. Good and responsive plenty of torque and good speed. Just need to get the program box to tweak the settings. Hope to get to Surry and Hants next Sunday. Will be fun to see how it holds up.

I've run my original 6 gear for two meetings with an old speed passion feiugo esc and a 13.5 motor and its been fine.
I wouldn't fancy running anything much more powerful in there though, don't forget there's no slipper
