emb-1

Hi, been looking at the kit version of the emb-1 but just found a cheap rtr, are there any differences between the kit and the rtr? Thanks in advance for any advice :)

The RTR is quite good value but has plastic chassis shock towers and shock bodies. The kit version comes with servo and has Ali chassis shock towers and shocks, you would need your own radio and motor/speedo setup.

The cars great! The RTR is really good, the kit motor is the one we use in all our cars at the nationals. If you want the extra features the kit has like the alloy chassis etc then you'll need to buy the ESC/Motor seperately and then add your own transmitter and receiver.

Thanks for the replies, its decision time! Its down the kit emb-1 or the gtb kit???? Both seem to be popular at ourclub and both seem strong which would be better for a novice driver???

I would go for the rtr then buy the ally towers, this way you will get the motor and 2.4 radio gear, if the radio gear is not what you want im sure you could sell it on or pass it on to you kids?

They look a great car for the money and prove to be very good on the track

Decision made! Emb-1 ordered with the lc racing motor i can use the esc and radio gear from my shark, which by the way will be up for sale soon ;) thanks again for all the advice

If you've already got ready gear than that is perfect :) Put the 16t pinion supplied on the motor and let us know how you get on :) Plenty more information on www.uk-microrc.co.uk for set-ups etc

Just to point out Dan's post should read 19t pinion .. and then turn your endpoint down to 50% ... that'll be a good place to start for a newbie

.. and checkout ukmicrorc for setup tips ..

Its a great car with the right setup ...

Danosborne6661 12-12-2013 04:39 PM

Oh yea 19t pinion sorry!

there's no shark parts around cos i bought them all when the car was popular :p lol

i still have enough spares to build about 6 cars, and have spares for each car

might advertise them soon as there getting hard to get hold of,

I went the other way to you, ive got the rtr kit.

Ive bought the alloy shocks, carbon topdeck (as im running the plastic chassis) carbon shock towers

I drove it for the first time last sunday and not driving a micro for more then a year I got 4th, the car was great! Had some problems with the grip to start but sorted that and all I can say is wow!

Uk micro will have set ups on it, I used rob west as he runs the same set up I got! Your best bet is to go for andy jones as he runs your alloy chassis set up

Have fun and let us know how it goes :)

Does the RTR come with Alloy shock bodies & front CVDs?
