If you are going to use it solely for astro, an SV2 would be a much better alternative. A rear motor car is nowhere near as fast on high grip, and you'll only have to shell out £1 more on Modelsport to get one.

Sv2 amazing all rounder
Number 5 RC
Speak to mike Parker and he will sort you out a better deal than that!

For astro I would go KF to be honest as this seems to be what the team drivers are using now, great car as well.

Only issue with a KF is it's purely a high grip car. If the OP is looking for an all rounder, an SV2 is far cheaper and a much better bet.

The kf with a ball diff in looks to work on most surfaces so your point about the sv2 is part correct that it's an alrounder but the kf will work on a few tracks not just high grip

This track in Australia doesn't look to be high grip but they still preferred the KF over the SV2.

I also use my KF on astro that at the moment is cold, damp and greasy every morning and thus quite low grip but I can still drive it good enough. I think we will see more and more that the KF will be used instead of the SV2 even in lower grip conditions.
