DEX410 Alloy Caster Blocks

Gents,

I'm after some Caster Blocks for the front I my dex410.

Specifically a standard (0°?) for the right. Or a matching pair.

Please check they're in good condition as the previous ones I bought came with a nicely rounded out grub screw thread so hence I need some more :)

Let me know what you have.

Thanks

Joel

If you mean the part had no thread from the package, I'd advice you to contact Durango. If you mean the thread was stripped, how much material is there to put a thread in?

I'm asking you because you might be able to repair it with a Helicoil/V-Coil - They are thread inserts:

You put them in by drilling out the hole, tapping a thread and screwing a helicoil in. The inside of the helicoil will act as your new thread. A V-coil kit for M3 costs about 20GBP and you can use it on pretty much any stripped thread so long as there is enough material (so the helicoil will be fully inside the material and there is still enough material around the hole).

Hi,

No it's been stripped by the previous owner but he decided not to tell about it... :)

And thanks that would do the trick but it's cheaper just to buy a new one. If I had a few then yeah that'd be great. I'll bear that in mind for future though.

Thanks for your help

If it's the the grub screw thread which holds the hinge pin in place that has stripped, buy the V4 wishbones, as it no longer uses that method to hold the pin in place.

Hi,

Thanks. That's a good point. I hadn't noticed that. I'll keep my eye out of those as well.

Thanks
