Go on then do share ...

Its retro, Tamiya, and should look good alongside your Holiday Buggy

The Doctor 01-12-2013 11:05 PM

The mind boggles, it could be anything.

I'm taking the kids to Bingham Christmas Fair so I'll not be racing this Friday (there goes all chance of qualifying again), but will be ready to go on Saturday morning.

Just been looking at the KF on the Schumacher website and now need to wipe the dribble off the keyboard. C'mon Santa! :wub

If it is a Dyna Blaster I see a Rustler in my future :)

Chris56 02-12-2013 08:48 AM

A bit before the Dyna Storm, closer to your Traxxas but will still probably be beaten by it!!

cunawarit 02-12-2013 09:42 AM

It could be anything, a Bear Hawk would be cool though :) Always liked the scale looking shell on that.

The Bandit's advantage is that the huge steel gears can take a V8 in terms of power.... But limit the motors and I think the Tamiya's could give it a challenge if not beat it. The Bandit isn't exactly a feather weight.

siddus74 02-12-2013 10:15 AM

Does this mean I need to bring the thundershot then lads?

Scott.

Chris56 02-12-2013 10:46 AM

Bearhawk is closest guess so far (im actually watching one on ebay at the moment), though it is more of Thundershot era, won't be as quick as the Thundershot though - I would like to race against your Thundershot with my Manta Ray when I've finished it.

siddus74 02-12-2013 10:56 AM

Let me know when its ready and chuck an esc and stuff in the thundershot

Scott.

It really could be anything... Tamiya has released a bazillion chassis and a bazillion models per chassis.

PS: Fox?

And thats why im watching a bazillion items on the bay at the moment!!

PS, a Fox is even closer, would like one but they are quite expensive at the moment.

One more clue, its got the rear axle from your Camaro and has a sting in its tail!

cunawarit 02-12-2013 12:02 PM

HORNET!!!! Cool :)

Chris56 02-12-2013 12:27 PM

1984 original too!

cunawarit 02-12-2013 12:45 PM

It takes a brave soul to race that. What motor are you going to use? Castle Mamba Monster and 6S?

Chris56 02-12-2013 12:55 PM

Now there's an idea!

Definately something silver - probably a 27t. Don't think its ballraced so will take it very carefully

The Doctor 02-12-2013 03:16 PM

I raced an original Grasshopper a few years ago when we ran a "vintage" series. That thing jumped like a brick and landed like a meteorite.

Also used to race an original Astute at club level (too many years ago to admit) - loved that car, although there was a "bit" of chassis flex to contend with...

cunawarit 02-12-2013 03:58 PM

I was sent the wrong shell, was supposed to be a red Toyota and ended up with a green Mazda 6 / Dodge Stratus thingy... :-/

Looks like it belongs in the touring car class :(

siddus74 02-12-2013 04:02 PM
