Hupo Departs Durango

It has been announced that Hupo Hönigl and Team Durango have agreed not to continue their working collaboration in 2014. Team Durango said, ‘Hupo has been an integral part of the team since 2009, with consistent success at the highest level of RC competition. Hupo has contributed his expertise in many ways, including the development of Team Durango racing cars.’

They also said both parties felt that as they look forward into the future, it is time for a change, and have planned the split to be at the end of 2013.
We had heard rumours earlier this year that this change may be occurring, but with Hupo being such a key part of the Durango race team, it still comes as a surprise. We’re not sure where Hupo will be going next, but with him launching his own brand (H-Speed) earlier in the year, he will certainly have plenty of options.
