Lrp ix8 fan question

Can anyone let me know if the fan spins up all the time or just when a certain temp is reached?
I'm just putting all of the electrics together on my buggy and have installed the fan and put power to the esc but nothing happens ??

Active Fan Operation:

the fan will only become active above a certain temperature level of the speed-control,

at initialisation (turn on of the speed-control with radio switched on) the fan will run for 3sec to indicate it‘s correct

operation.

Panic over I've connected up the rx and it spins up fine on turn on:)
