Which Stick Controller?
Hi. Im on the lookout for a stick remote to get me back into buggy racing. Ive been out of the rc scene for over20 years now, so as you can imagine, just about everything has changed!! Ive been reading how important it is to have a decent remote, and so im looking for a bit of advice please. Ive been looking at the etronix gt3pro, is this any good? Or could anyone recommend something better second hand? I have a budget for the radio and receiver of around £ 70 as I still have everything else to buy aswell yet!! Lol. Thanks Darren

Sanwa Gemini x mate nice reasonable price n does everything you need .
|
I would deffo try any you were thinking about, if you can.
Not all sticks feel the same. |
You can get a used Futaba 3GR 2.4ghz for about that price. Fantastic computer radio without a massive price tag. Mine has been faultless for 7 years.
Personally wouldn't waste my cash on any of the budget brands. |

FrSky conversions work well, I do tend to add a little hot glue to hold the aerial on the recevier though, as they can eventually fall off and need re-soldering on the 4 channel units.
As for possible transmitters to convert, there are many. Mine is a Hitec Pro Car, which is a large stick unit. It is fairly easy to use, I can do it all without the manual after a years racing, you can probably get a good one used for £50 or less. My friend got a Sanwa Gemini 2, which can be had for £40 or less in good condition, and is slightly simpler than the hitec, and has the 60/40 throttle/brake arrangement. It's also more of a standard size. I've also heard Flysky conversions work well. |
Budget Transmitter
If you can stretch to it look at trying to get a Futaba 3VCS or 3VC. Module based transmitter so you can convert to FRSky 2.4Ghz easily if required.
