Newbie
Hi y'all, I am going to be back next week to try again with the racing!
Last time I came I had a touring car and lots of steering problems! (mostly me, but a little bit the car too!) Well, I haven't given up at all, just been a bit too busy to come again. I am now going to try my hand at the minis and stick with that for a little while and see how I get on, I am sure anything will be an improvement over last time! Just a little question though, what tyres do the mini guys use? I am going to keep it as slow as possible, but I would like a bit of confidence with grip. Thanks in advance for any advice given :) |
You can't go wrong with sweep premounts. 33deg all round with carpet additive on the rear. This should give you a nice predictable handling mini.

Hi, Thanks for the advice.
Planning on starting off with the M03M but will see how things go. I have built to up and it seems to steer nicely, which is very important to a bad driver such as myself! The other thing is I am struggling with the steer wheel transmitter. But I shall keep trying! |
Its really important that you lower the ride height on the m03. Aim for 4mm ground clearance. This can be done a number of ways but the easiest is by shortening the shocks or using shorter shocks to begin with.
