Today racing 10th Nov

A great days racing today. Had a good turn out lets hope it continues.
Just like to say thankyou to those who helped to set up the track and those who helped to put it away. Thanks to Si for running race control.

Glad all had a good day and good to hear plenty helped with track. How much easier was it?

Er........ MASSIVELY! Did we not grab that green table top we got from croston?
It wasn't there Darren. Would be handy for next time

Yes, much easier. Wasn't so obvious during setting up because moving the gear in is only a minor part of that operation (plus we had a few technical issues) but in terms of clearing away it was amazing. I think we were all out of the hall 20 mins after the last race!

Massive thanks to Mark for running around fetching everything under the sun (see its not a good idea to live quite so close to the track!), Scott for being the clubs unofficial dogs body and just doing any crappy jobs that the committee don't feel like, and John for being so late leaving I was able to ring him up and get him to bring all the stuff we forgot!

Anyway a few helpful lessons learnt, wrinkles ironed out and the winter series is looking promising. I think next time the first task should be getting the heating on above all else because that really made a difference to grip levels. If we can get toasty before heat 1 it should be more consistent. I've already sourced some better tape as well.

Plus now some of us know the set up, we can get it up n running quicker,

Racing was soo much fun, plus now I know they have tables, my kids can have their colouring tables back.
